Thailand Public Holidays 2027: Phuket Banks and Offices

Phuket banks close on Monday 7 December, Thursday 10 December and Thursday 31 December this year. Next year's Bank of Thailand list starts Friday 1 January and moves weekend holidays to a Monday, such as Monday 22 February. Land offices close on official holidays.

Phuket banks close on three more days this year, starting Monday 7 December, and the Bank of Thailand has already set the 2027 list. Land offices close on official holidays too, so build errands around the dates below.

Banks follow the Bank of Thailand list on this page, while land offices close on “official holidays”. The handbook names no dates, so a visit next to a bank holiday needs a check with the office first.

Chinese New Year and Eid days are extra days for branches in Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Satun and Songkhla. Phuket is not among them, so a Phuket branch follows the main list.

The dates come from the Bank of Thailand’s English text of each notification, and its Thai text is the official version. For the offices themselves, see the Phuket Immigration Office guide and buying a condo in Phuket, which covers the land office.

Thursday 10 December Constitution Day

Checked November 2026.

Finish branch errands such as an over-the-counter deposit before Thursday 31 December, because Friday 1 January is closed as well. For cash and accounts, see opening a bank account in Phuket and currency exchange in Phuket.

Days the Cabinet adds

Cabinet resolutions have added days: Friday 2 January 2026 became an extra holiday, and the Cabinet gave Bangkok alone a special public holiday on 16 October 2026.

Songkran takes the middle of the week, Tuesday 13 to Thursday 15 April, so book bank and immigration errands for the week before. Early May is back to back as well: Monday 3 May and Tuesday 4 May are both closed.

When a holiday falls on a weekend

These 2027 holidays land on a weekend and move to the Monday after:

  • Makha Bucha Day, Sunday 21 February, becomes Monday 22 February.
  • National Labor Day, Saturday 1 May, becomes Monday 3 May.
  • Asarnha Bucha Day, Sunday 18 July, becomes Monday 19 July.
  • Chulalongkorn Memorial Day, Saturday 23 October, becomes Monday 25 October.
  • Father’s Day, Sunday 5 December, becomes Monday 6 December.

The same happens in 2026: Father’s Day falls on Saturday 5 December, so the bank holiday is Monday 7 December. If you plan a Monday errand next to a weekend holiday, check this list first.

If a 90-day report or visa extension falls due on or next to a holiday above, do not leave it to the last day: go in the days before it. Steps, timing and the late fine are in the 90-day report guide.

Not confirmed: The Cabinet's holiday list for government offices next year: the dates here are bank dates, so ask the immigration or land office before a visit near one. Whether a 90-day report or extension due on a closed day counts as on time: unconfirmed, so file before the closure.
